Michelle enjoys running, especially through city streets, yoga, cooking, foreign languages, travel, writing, and American literature. Michelle played tennis in high school and began rowing when an ex-rower roommate convinced her to try it and she found she liked winter conditioning. Michelle occasionally eats Pop-Tarts for good luck before races or ergometer tests - a superstition carried over from college racing days. Her personal hero is her mother. Michelle is employed at The Home Depot as part of the Olympic Job Opportunities Program.
